| Directions: 1st Lift up on the bottom of the pod/module and pull out gently, caution do not yank out! The wire harness connected to this module isn't very long! There is just enough room to get a flat blade screwdriver or maybe your finger back behind there! You need to push the release tab on the wire harness connector going into the back of the pod/module to release the module off of the harness connector! |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2nd The face of the pod/module with the buttons on it will come off by pressing the 4 little tabs (2 on the left & 2 on the right) and gently pry apart! Once apart you will see the circuit board with the lamp on it and a single 1/8" bolt/screw holding the circuit board down. You will need to unscrew this with a 1/8" nut driver! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3rd Locate the lamp and remove the red rubber sleeve off of the lamp and then unsolder the lamp from the back side of the circuit board and replace with the new lamp by soldering new lamp in place and clipping excess length on the lamp leads. Replace the red rubber sleeve and put back together! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 4th Once lamp is replaced and pod/module is back together install pod/module back in steering wheel by taking wire harness connector and plugging it into the back of the pod/module, you may have to use a flat blade screwdriver to assist you in pushing harness connector back into pod/module and then gently push pod/module back into steering wheel top first then press bottom in! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| You can pay $80+ for a new pod/module or you can do this simple lamp replacement for less than $2! Or you can put it in the shop and pay $200+ to get it fixed for you! You Decide! Anyway you decide I'm not liable for damages, this information is here for you to use at your own risk! I hope it helps! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
